Some of My Favorite Bible Verses...And A Special Prayer Request

I love this one because it puts my anxiety over the state of our nation and the future of our country at bay.  God alone is sovereign!  It's also a scripture that my husband and I have been reminding ourselves of over the last couple of months in this season of change in our lives:

This is my husband's favorite scripture:

I love this scripture too.  It's also in one of my favorite worship songs we sing at church:

(Thank youEdie at Rich Gifts Graphics and Blog Design for the free scripture tags!)

Those are just a few of my favorite scriptures.

I would like to ask you to pray for my boss, Wade H., to recover from a terrible ATV accident he had last weekend.  He has a serious head injury, a punctured lung and spleen, and he broke all of his ribs on one side, among other injuries.  He spent all week in the critical care unit at the hospital and although he is improving, he will have a very long and difficult recovery due to his many injuries.  Thank you.

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!

I'm so thankful to the Lord that Adrienne's baby, Bennett is doing so well. I'm adding Bennett's button to my blog!  Isn't he precious?

I'll be praying for a speedy recovery for Adrienne and especially for the Lord to give her strength to manage her daily life with three small children at home while she has to be away from sweet Bennett.  May God bless all of her dear friends and family for helping her so much in her time of need!

And on a different note, I got my laptop back from the repair center!!!  It has been so long since I was able to turn it on that it took ALL DAY on Saturday to update it.  It is still having some issues, but I am just happy to have it back with all of my data intact.

I have been continuing to troubleshoot my laptop, while at the same time working to get all of my photos organized and ready to send to my friend, Tami, who vistited from Minnesota in June.  We had a great time going on a mini-tour of a beautiful area in Alaska, right here near Anchorage.

I'm also making a few minor changes to my blog.  I hope you like it!  I'm not quite done, there'll be a few more tweaks here and there, as I search my way around the internet learning neat little tips and tricks to get the fininshed product to be just like I want it!

This weekend I will post part one of four of our Alaska mini-tour, but for now I will let you see another preview of what's to come:

Isn't it breathtaking?  I can't wait to share more this weekend!  I'm so happy to be able to blog again too!  Praise God!

PRAYING FOR ADRIENNE AND HER BABY....

Please keep Adrienne in your prayers today.  She has been in the hospital on bedrest this week with her high risk pregancy and now it looks like they will probably deliver her baby very soon, maybe even today.  I know that she could use all the prayers she can get right now.  Thank you.

Praying for Megan, Brent and Cohen

I'm participating in a blogging day of silence in honor of baby Cohen, who went to be with Jesus at just 12 days old due to complications caused by multiple congenital heart defects.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
~2 Corinthians 1:3-4

May the Lord Jesus Christ comfort you in your sorrow Megan and Brent.

MY COMPUTERS ARE FOR THE BIRDS!!!!

~~~~ small update posted 06-24-10, scroll down to the * (asterisk)~~~~
I thought I'd be back to regular blogging after reformatting my hard drive twice, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.  I'm still here; praise the Lord, but my desktop computer is, I'm afraid, about to die and my laptop won't even turn on.  But, thankfully, I found the receipt for it and just faxed it in to HP tonight.  I don't know what to expect, but hopefully, they will help me make it live again!
This past winter I put sunflower seeds out for the little birdies.  They must have loved me because I made sure they had seed every morning. They would be sitting and singing in the trees outside my door at dawn, waiting for daylight to come so they could start their feast!
I have more bird photos to share, but unfortunately, my computer is acting up and/or is in its final death throes..... a lost cause.
*I added a few more pics  on 6-24-10, I'm still having major computer issues, but, I should at the minimum have a laptop back home and working within a week! Yay!  Can't wait to share what I've been up to since my last post!  I have some amazing photos to show of a little sight-seeing tour I guided in early June!  p.s.-Don't you love the looks those 2 birds above are giving each other?  Serious attitudes in such little bodies! Isn't God amazing in his design right down to the smallest details?
(Preview)
Please pray for Adrienne and the sweet baby boy she has been blessed with.  Pray that the baby will live to full term and that he will be born whole and healthy.  Thank you!  If you aren't familiar with Adrienne's story, get some kleenex and click the link above.  Don't worry; there are tears of happiness in her story too!
I have been thinking about switching to an Apple computer, or Mac or whatever, I never know what the difference is between the two.  But, I'm scared to because of a: the cost and b: I don't know how hard it is to transition over to one after only having PC experience.  Any thoughts?  or personal experience?  I will be back (as soon as I get a computer to work)!
